Recently we conducted off-campus recruitment drives in which a large number of fresher candidates were interviewed over a span of few weeks. We selected the best candidates for full time permanent positions with our organization. In spite that other candidates were equally qualified what did these candidates had that was missing in all others?

·         They were smart and well dressed
·         They came prepared to give their best
·         They were confident and clear in communication
·         They presented a simple and straight forward resume
·         They were good in academics with sound knowledge of fundamentals
·         They performed consistently during interview and were not stressed out
·         They knew their weaknesses well and played on their strengths
·         They were patient and good listeners
·         They conveyed clearly when they didn’t know the answer
·         They came prepared not to give up

Your core competencies are your biggest strength as they differentiate you from competition. Strengthening your competencies should be a constant endeavour and a motto of life.
